www.w3schools.com/What do you think of W3Schools? I personally think it's a great resource for learning the basics in HTML and CSS, but W3Schools is also highly criticized for having coding resources that aren't even correct. Even with that being said, so many coders started with W3Schools. Even if they were learning things that weren't entirely accurate, you could say W3Schools gave them the inspiration to keep coding and try out other resourceful websites. So, what's your opinion?

I have used W3Schools for help with tables on my forum. I think it's still helpful even if a few things are incorrect.

It's part of what got me started into skins and stuff as well. People underestimate what you can build off the basics you learned on it.

I haven't heard of that before. I'll Google it soon. I wouldn't know about W3Schools either if CMT hadn't told me about it. ^_^

W3schools has helped me so much with CSS and HTML. It didn't help me much with Javascript though for some reason. Tizag is also a pretty good resource. I forget what I was using Tizag to learn though...

I go here alot to look up how to do some stuff in css. But that's all just editing existing css.

I do too. It's good when I forget how to do things.

W3Schools is a really great reference. I use it all the time to look us CSS stuff! I would recommend using some other sites if you are trying to dive deep into a language and get your learn on. It's a good quick stop shop though!

w3fools.com/Just sayin'. I prefer HTML Dog, CSS-Tricks, Tree House, and Codecademy. I'm glad somebody posted the link to W3Fools. I was about to do so myself. The problems they've outlined about W3Schools pretty much sums up my feelings about them. Poorly written, usually incorrect, information. No indepth information at all. W3Schools barely introduces people to the technologies they write about. And almost always at the expense of demonstrating poor practices.

The only good thing about w3schools is the TryIt Editor. I tested all sorts of javascript crap in there when I was learning it. :3 That's about it.

I love W3Schools! You can learn so much from it and you can learn it quick and easily with its fun tutorials. This helps make learning coding both fun and easy. I would recommend this site to all new coders.
