I only use ProBoards now but I used InvisionFree for a few years and it was okay, but my forums kept getting hacked by the same guy. When I switched it over to ProBoards he found the link but couldn't do anything to it so I stuck with ProBoards. I never liked phpBB or VBulletin at all. And I'd never pay for a forum. I don't really like ProBoards management but I been on ProBoards since 2005 and it's always weird when I'm on other software now. I also like how ProBoards looks a lot better.

The first forum I joined was a Proboards forum and I've just got use to using it. Codes are easy to find and I'm able to do things very quickly.

Yeah the nice thing with Proboards is that its hosted, theres a massive community for support, and the code database has been built up over the course of several years to improve and customize the software. Of course this does have its limitations, but its all front-end development - which is a good place to start for beginners, and guarantees some security to your forum.

I chose ProBoards because it was free, and when I realized its customization options I opted to give it a shot. I've used InvisionFree, Zetaboards, phpBB, punBB, Vanilla, Invision Board, vBulletin, and SMF, and still haven't really found the perfect software.

I always seem to find a way back to ProBoards, has a homely feel to it after being around for too long.

I'm not fond of any forum software other than ProBoards, tbh. I don't like their layouts. PB is simple, which I like. Not a ton of buttons or an overload of statistics and other information. Plus, it's what I started with, so it's what I stuck with.
Vanilla is okay, too. It works well with WordPress.

After getting my forum converted to v5 yesterday, Proboards is definitely my forum of choice, although XenForo is pretty awesome as well which I would use if I wanted to host my forum.
You guys are gonna love all the new administrative feature of v5, it's pretty ridiculous.

It's hard for me to believe how awesome the ProBoards employees say it is because well, they coded it and they will naturally be bias. I'm looking forward to V5 even more now.

It's really good, especially for a free forum service. It's much easier to do things now because you don't have to write a ridiculous amount of redundant Javascript to accomplish something so simple.

I like proboards. The community is one of the best and the support is great too.

I have been making a theme for mybb and I have to say it's not as bad as I thought it would. Waiting to get my hands on V5 to make some skins.
